Earth Day at Sage Spas to Benefit American Wildlands
|
American Wildlands is proud to announce that for a second year, Sage Living Spas of Montana has chosen to support AWL and our mission of keeping the U.S. Northern Rockies ecologically connected. In honor of Earth Day, Sage generously discounts many of their services and donates all proceeds to American Wildlands!
Come get pampered and help AWL by visiting Sage’s locations in Billings, Bozeman and Whitefish from 9am – 7pm on Tuesday, April 22nd. Discounted services include express facials, manicures, pedicures, or massages, and men’s, women’s and children’s haircuts.
Shannon Roberts, who participated in the event last year, commented: "It was very nice to indulge myself knowing I was also contributing to an organization so instrumental in wildlife protection and conservation. I look forward to spending even more time at Sage this Earth Day."
While we realize not all of our members can participate due to their geographical location, we wanted to let you all know about this great partnership and take a moment to thank Sage Spas publicly.
Thank you, Sage Living Spas!
If you own or are employed by a business that would be interested in partnering with American Wildlands, check out our corporate support opportunities or contact Catherine Viscardi, Event and Corporate Support Coordinator – cviscardi@wildlands.org.

Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest Plan Revision
The Beaverhead- Deerlodge National Forest is the largest national forest in Montana, and much of it is located in American Wildlands' High Divide Conservation Area. The Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest has undergone an extensive revision of its Master Forest Plan. This is a critical document that defines forest management in terms of recreation, resource extraction, wildlife values, and wilderness designation for the foreseeable future.
American Wildlands has been involved since the inception of the planning, and has submitted extensive comments regarding the new proposed forest plan. The final public commenting period has been extended to April 30, 2008.
Proposed wilderness designations and motorized use allocations on the Forest are of particular interest to American Wildlands because of their effect on habitat connectivity and wildlife movement corridors throughout the High Divide of southwestern Montana and eastern Idaho.
Please write or email the Forest Supervisor and ask that important wildlife corridors be given the utmost consideration in the revision of the Plan (addresses can be found at the link below).
