In our 2006 Annual Report, then-Board Chair Chris Bunting and I explained that for the previous year, American Wildlands had been focused on solidifying the organization’s conservation programs and organizational capacity as part of advancing AWL to “the next level.” For American Wildlands, the next level means increasing our political, financial, and community resources support so we can better fulfill our mission: “keeping the world-renowned U.S. Northern Rockies ecologically intact by restoring and maintaining connections between key habitats for healthy populations of native fish and wildlife.”
