As part of American Wildlands' efforts to build support for the concept and implementation of highway safe passages for wildlife, we promote the most promising techniques for making highways safer for people and wildlife.

These technniques can be broken down into two main categories:

1)Providing safe passage structures across highways for wildlife.

2)Providing information that helps drivers know where and how they can reduce the likelihood of hitting wildlife.
