Foundations

Private foundation support, primarily through grants, has been instrumental to American Wildlands. Approximately 60% of our budget is raised from nearly 25 foundations each year. These foundations provide between $1,000 and $100,000 worth of grants for our conservation programs.

Family Foundations and Donor-Advised Funds

American Wildlands also receives generous support from a number of family foundations and donor advised funds. These gifts typically range between $250 and $5,000. These funds are typically unrestricted, unlike foundation grants, and provide a great deal of flexibility and opportunity for American Wildlands to spend the funds on the area of our work most in need.
